Outreach at Or Chadash

What is Outreach?

At Or Chadash, the main goal of Outreach is to create an environment at all events, both religious and secular, that helps all congregants to make Jewish choices and welcomes intermarried members and families.

Outreach aims to provide a rich variety of learning experiences (workshops, discussion groups, hands-on activities) that touch the range of learning/ experiential needs of our members.

Outreach can assist members with life cycle events such as birth, death, bar/bat mitzvah by providing written information that explains the customs and rituals of life cycle events and ways in which the non-Jewish spouse can participate in these events.

We warmly welcome the non-Jewish extended family members of intermarried members and families at Or Chadash to participate in events that explain and teach about Jewish life cycle events and holidays.

We encourage those with personal issues, questions and concerns about conversion to contact Rabbi Forman.

Please contact Melissa Pickell, if you are interested in learning more about this group.

The Jewish Outreach Institute

www.joi.orgSince 1988, the Jewish Outreach Institute has been a leader in the development of Jewish community-based outreach programming. Through our national conferences, publications and informational resources, JOI has helped foster the creation of scores of Jewish outreach programs from coast to coast. Our research has garnered national attention on the opportunities for including the intermarried in the Jewish community.
